About me
My name is Isaac Goldstein Luria. I’m a liberal, religious, internet-obsessed, political guy living in Brooklyn. I read a lot of blogs, so I thought I’d join the chorus. Everyone loves a joiner.
I helped to run a door-to-door fund-raising office in San Diego for John Kerry and the Democratic National Committee during the summer of 2004. After graduating from Trinity College (Hartford, CT) with a degree in American Studies and a minor in Writing and Rhetoric, I moved to San Francisco. Then, I took a job with Donordigital, a consulting firm that specializes in web marketing for major political non-profits like NARAL Pro-Choice America and Amnesty International. I left Donordigital to take a job as the Web and Marketing Manager for the National Sexuality Resource Center where I run the American Sexuality Magazine’s blog.
I recently spent a year living in Jerusalem, Israel while my wife, Sara Pflantzer Luria, completed her first year at Hebrew Union College’s Rabbinical School. I spent the year as a Dorot Foundation Year in Israel Fellow.
Currently, I’m the Online Director for J Street, the new pro-peace, pro-Israel political lobby.
